Religions of the World CPRL 110

Fall 2008

Dear Student,

 

Thank you for your interest in CPRL 110 Religions of the World.

 

In this course we look at the beliefs and practices of Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We also discuss secular humanism and a few new religious movements.

 

Students at all levels are welcome to take this section. (Some seats are reserved in this section for incoming Freshman, but there is room for all students and Titan Online will automatically accept everyone.)

 

This course fulfills General Education (GE) requirement "Introduction to the Humanities" (III.B.2).

 

The complete syllabus will be posted on Blackboard for registered students.

(A print version will be distributed at the first class.)

The reader will include selections from the Sacred Texts of the five religions we will cover, plus questions to help you study for the tests. The course reader will be available at Little Professor Book Center, 725 N. Placentia Ave. Fullerton, 714-996-3133.
