Dance Disaster
Movement: "We are Nowhere." For years,
indie rock fans have criticized "dance" music for being
pointless, overly produced, and too mainstream. Now,
the DDM indie rock dance music for all the naysayers.
Guitars, bass and drums are manipulated and punished to
sound digital, while shrieking vocals and low-fi
production will make even vinyl-philes appreciate the
sound of this compact disc. |

Kurt Vonnegut:
"Breakfast of Champions" I finally got around
to reading this contemporary classic, and now I'm hooked.
Also check out: Timequake and Hocus Pocus,
not to mention Mother Night and Slaughterhouse
Five.
Buck 65:
"Square" This cd only has four tracks, but
don't be fooled. Each track is approximately 15
minutes in length and actually features 4 separate tracks.
Thus, each track was originally a 12" single (?).
Whatever. It is some of the most mellow and innovate
"hip-hop" to come around in a long time. No
machismo. No sexism. No Homophobia. Just
stories of a hobo riding boxcars.
