Dr. Guillermo J. Noffal, associate professor in the Division of Kinesiology and Health Science, Director of the Movement Analysis Laboratory, came to CSUF in 1996.  He received his Bachelor degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science and a minor in Computer Science from San Diego State University.  He also received his Masters degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Biomechanics from SDSU.  Dr. Noffal was the recipient of an overseas postgraduate research scholarship to The University of Western Australia from where he received his doctorate.

Dr. Noffal has lived in Brazil, Nicaragua, Australia and the U.S. and has traveled throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, South and Central America in addition to his latest walkabout through the Australian outback and coastal cities.  He has a command of the Portuguese, Spanish and French languages.

His research interests include identifying mechanisms of injury in sport and general movement patterns.

Dr. Noffal currently lives in Placentia, California with his wife Yvonne and his sons Dante, born in December of 1997 and Diego, born in August of 2000.  When injuries do not pose a limitation, he enjoys playing basketball, tennis, golf and softball.
